The Olympic Torch
I finally got my hands on an Olympic Torch today!
My colleague was selected to carry the torch following the fundraising and campaigning he has been doing since his daughter died of cancer.
Event Consultancy
In March 2012 I was hired by the Oxfordshire
Sports Partnership to provide event consultancy for the Oxfordshire School
Games (which is part of the a new
national competition designed to enthuse and inspire young people across the country to participate in competitive sports, to
help identify future sporting talent and provide a meaningful
sporting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games) and to mentor the project leader.
I advised on all
event operations; event welfare plans and health and safety procedures; working with media and representatives on the day; entertainment options; volunteer briefs; and day
schedules.
I worked on this project from April to July 2012.
